Should I List Hobbies on my Resume?

As a general rule, there is no need to list your hobbies and interests on your resume. Your resume is best kept simple and short (no more than 3 pages). Adding on hobbies and interests will take up valuable space that could be used to list your strengths and previous experience, explaining how it is relevant to the position you are applying for. It could even hinder your chances of landing an interview. It is best to not give the person reading your resume a chance to make assumptions before they speak with you.

Remember to ALWAYS follow submission requirements. If the application process states that they would like you to list hobbies and interests, then do so.
