Research the Company Before the Interview

You got to interview stage, congratulations! Before you head off for your interview, be sure you have done all of your research about the company.

There are multiple places you can look online to find out all the information you need. Knowledge is power and it never hurts to have too much information.

Company Website: It is the obvious and first place to look for information. Click through and read everything on the website to get as much information as possible.

LinkedIn: You will likely have the name of the person you will be interviewing with, and if you don’t, then ask. Look that person up on LinkedIn to gain some insight into their work history and how long they have been with the company.

Social Media: The majority of businesses have some sort of social media page, look on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to get more information and also see reviews and comments others have left about the company.

Google: It is likely that the company has a presence on Google, check for any Google reviews and other articles and published information connected to the business. If there have been any past discrepancies with the company it is likely that Google will pick those up.
