Personal and sensitive information
Personal information is any information or opinion about you. This includes
information regarding your contact details, birth date, references,
opinions of others about your work performance, any test results and
other information obtained by Elle Belle Recruitment in seeking to place
you in appropriate employment. It may also include any information obtained
lawfully via a criminal reference check.
Under privacy laws we only collect personal information if it is necessary
for the performance of one or more of our tasks or functions and, subject
to the exceptions set out in privacy law, we would not collect sensitive
information without your consent.
The Collection
of your personal and sensitive information
Elle Belle Recruitment collects information in a variety of ways including:
• Completion of a registration form
• Completion of reference checks
• Results of any tests in regards to your employment
• Through print media
• Employment websites
• Elle Belle Recruitment website
We may also obtain personal information in regards to any previous employer
complaints, workplace accidents, insurance investigation, litigation,
registration or professional disciplinary matter, criminal matter, inquest
or inquiry in which you are involved. We will not obtain any personal
information about you from a third party without your prior consent.
If you do not provide us with the information we require we may be limited
in our ability to provide you with our recruitment services.
The information we collect is entered onto our recruitment database
and can only be accessed by Elle Belle Recruitment employees for the
purpose of matching candidates to current roles.
Use
of Information
Elle Belle Recruitment is committed to protecting the privacy of our
candidates and clients and ensures that information provided to us is
used only for the purpose of your career advancement. We always will
gain your permission prior to any of your information being forwarded
to clients.
Your personal and sensitive information may also be used for:
• Identification of possible work placement
• Performance and other assessments that you may be required to
undertake
• Our management of any complaint, investigation or inquiry in
which you are involved
• Any insurance claim or proposal that requires disclosure of
your personal or sensitive information
If you
do not provide Elle Belle Recruitment with the information we seek,
we may be limited in our ability to find and place you in suitable work.

All requests
we receive will be managed within a reasonable time. Forty-eight hours
notice is required for your intention to view the information.
If you need to contact us urgently regarding personal or sensitive information
outside of normal office hours you should contact Linda Bell on 0423
287 799.
If you require access to your personal information in order to correct
or update certain details, we will take reasonable steps to correct
the information so that it is accurate and complete. If we are unable
to agree that personal or sensitive information that we hold about you
is accurate, you may ask to prepare a statement of your claim, which
will be placed with your personal information.
In some
instances a moderate fee may be imposed for providing access to personal
or sensitive information.
